Reviving Aravalis
Manesar
The forest restoration technique involves planting a suite of native species to promote more rapid natural succession and growth. Tree species were chosen to encourage the return of important indigenous species and provide fundamental ecosystems services, such as the stabilising of soils, maintaining the health of the water cycle and sequestering carbon from the atmosphere. A forest planted in this way can start with 30 varieties and see over 150 varieties of trees growing in less than 10 years.

Empowering & Livelihood
Skill imparted : 250+
Trained local communities in sustainable ways of agriculture, and watershed management techniques. The project was conducted under the CSR initiative. The focus was how to sustainable use mother earth, enhance the under soil life and species of bird & bees while enhancing income source. Unemployed youth was given special training in how to create and maintain plant nurseries.
Community Forest
Pune
Pune a city of hills are either bare mountain with little or no vegetation or is covered with glaicidia. With government permission first the weed trees were removed and new trees sapling native to the land were planted in the kondwa hills. It was a pilot project of about an acre. 50-70 native species were planted closely to enhance competition for growth.

Sustainable City
Noida
A citizen’s attempts to increase the green cover of their society. Trees were planted on the boundaries & and outside the main compound wall, along the road. The idea was to reduce dust, pollution, make home for birds and shade from the scorching heat. Large canopy trees of different varieties along with avenue trees were planted.

Once a pond now turned in dumping ground and sewage gutter was a huge task. To revive the lake needed us to remove the garbage both from land & water, waste water treatment and reviving the pond using bio-remediation & phyto-remediation methods. Community participation was sought through various activities to maintain the lake in the long-run.

Pune
Backyard forest was created on the farm house in about 1 acre. Since soil was dead and not fit for supporting life, soil was enriched and treated to create the right growing conditions. Forest created was largely native fruit forest and the aim was enhance the general life forms while enhancing green cover of the farm.

Employee Engagement
Gurugram
A Gurugram based organisation conducted and environment & healthy living drive for their employees. Tree saplings were distributed amongst the employees and they were to raise and take care of it for 3months after which they were to be planted on a Government school site. Both employees & the school children had a fun day.

Sustainable Food
Delhi
A attempt to “healthy living, growing your own food” initiative citizen of Gurugram were trained in Hydroponics farming and were given free hydroponics kits, the project was conducted by Honda Trading as a part of their CSR initiative. The idea was to reduce the burden of food growing on land and make cities self-sustaining & sustainable.

A citizen’s initiative to convert an open park into a green space for walkers & children to play. The aim was create a space which has trees & open spaces both to create better environment, reduce pollution and surrounding temperature. Small patches of 100-150mtrs forests was created in strips, we call it green ribbons.

Awareness campaigns are conducted in schools as part of CSR initiative to sensitize students about the environment. ‘A seed to sapling’ drive is done where children are given seeds to plant, care for them for 3 months till they become a sapling and then those trees are planted in the nearby grounds.

Sustainable Livelihood
Sonipat, Haryana
Awareness programs conducted with farmers and unemployed youth to train them in nature based agriculture techniques, how to open & manage plant nurseries and practice agro-forestry. Free fruit tree saplings are also distributed to the farmers to enhance their income while increasing the green cover and enhance bio-diversity.

Plantation Drive
Multi-cities
Various plantation drives along the road, dividers, and society premises are conducted to create greenery in whichever way possible. Native varieties are chosen based on their location and purpose. For e.g along the roadside most trees which can absorb pollution & dust in larger quantity are planted. These drives have been conducted in multiple cities.
